Professional Development Conference (PDC)

Our annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) will be held May 31-June 2, 2018 at the Downtown Kansas City Marriott. The days will be filled with learning and information sharing. Based on recommendations from the Cultural Competency and Diversity Topic Group formed at AMI 2018, Campus Directors are invited to take the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and receive your results during a personal coaching session at PDC (details to follow shortly). Jennifer Wade-Berg, Campus Director at Kennesaw State University, will provide the coaching and present more information about the IDI.  We will also have sessions on marketing your Alliance program, enhancing curriculum related to the cultural competency and diversity curriculum, and community-higher education engagement. Lunch on June 1 will be with the Alliance board of directors.  The complete draft schedule is below. We hope you will join us for a very special celebration at our 70th Anniversary Gala on June 2.
